Our 2025 Advent Box
If you are searching for the perfect present for someone who enjoys cooking then a box of 24 unique gourmet seasoning blends is a great choice.
Our 2025 Advent Box Contains:
Day 1 – Bob’s Cow Chips
This is great on steak and burgers as well as anyplace you need Salt, Pepper, and Garlic. Just lightly sprinkle on both sides before you start cooking. It is best to let it set for 5 to 10 minutes so the flavors are married into the meat. Some other tricks people have shared with us, sprinkle it on a baked potato, sprinkle it on cottage cheese, and very lightly on vegetables.
Day 2 – Spicy Thai Seasoning
This is great to use as a dry rub for chicken or fish. Just sprinkle on to all sides of the protein and pan fry, grill, or add it to your Wok. It can also be added to a noodle stir fry to make Spicy Thai Noodles. To use it as a marinade, mix 1 Tablespoon Spicy Thai Seasoning into 1 cup creamy coconut milk.
Day 3 – Bob’s Butt Rub
This is not your store bought rub that is for sure. Every region of the country has their own signature rub, this is Bob’s version. The sweetness of a Memphis Rub, the warmth and herbs of a Kansas City Rub and a little something special. It can be rubbed on Boston Butt (Pork Shoulder) using either a mustard or mayonnaise base and smoked using your favorite smoker and technique. It is also amazing on ribs using the same technique, and sprinkling it on chicken and barbequed.
Day 4 – Greek Seasoning
You can use our Greek Seasoning in your favorite Greek dishes from Stifado to Gyros. Since it is a balanced recipe you can use it instead of the individual herbs and spices. It is also amazing sprinkled on your salad, dusted on chicken and baked, and my favorite put it on French fries and then add Feta Cheese for incredible Greek Fries.
Day 5 – Alaskan Salmon Seasoning
Don’t let the name influence you to thinking it is just for salmon While it is incredible to put on salmon and grill it, it is also very very good on any fish (especially swordfish and tuna) that is baked, fried, or poached. It also goes very well with chicken and pork. Two secret recipes are to use it to season your pork chops and to put a pound broccoli crowns in a plastic bag with a 1/4 cup of olive oil and two tablespoons of Alaskan Salmon Seasoning, massage it all together, and either roast or sauté.
Day 6 – Fajita Seasoning
Who doesn’t love stopping by their favorite Mexican Restaurant and enjoying Fajitas, be it chicken. steak, or seafood. Now with our Fajita Seasoning you can make incredible Fajitas at home. Use Olive Oil, Lime Juice, water, and our Fajita Seasoning to make a wonderful marinade for your protein or to just soak your vegetables in and then pan fry. Or if you are in a hurry just use the seasoning to flavor your vegetable and protein mixture. A secret tip is to add some to your homemade pico de gallo or add it your Chile Relleno.
Day 7 – Pizza Seasoning
We are all busy and there are those days that lunch or dinner is as simple and quick as a frozen Pizza thrown into the oven. This one was developed during the 2020 pandemic for those nights. It can actually make a prepared pie much more palatable but it really shines if you make your own homemade Pizza. Add it to the crust to bring it to a level your local Pizza Shop would be jealous or add a tablespoon into 2 cups of tomato sauce to create you own gourmet pizza sauce. You can also add it to your favorite Italian soups for an additional pop of flavor.
Day 8 – Jamaican Jerk Seasoning
Not many dishes stir up a vision of ocean breezes and laid back vibes like Jamaican Jerk Chicken. Our Jamaican Jerk Seasoning has a little spice leaving the REAL heat to the user as they can add the traditional Scotch Bonnet Pepper slices. This allows you to tailor the heat to the people you are serving. It can be rubbed directly on the chicken or made into a marinade and soaked. Want to surprise your guest use the seasoning on pork or even fish to create authentic Jamaican dishes. My favorite is to toss my Sweet Potato Fries in Jamaican Jerk Seasoning and bake.
Day 9 – El Loco Burger Seasoning
This is not your normal burger seasoning, but not many of our seasonings are normal. Season your burgers and grill, or spice up a turkey burger as it has just the right amount of heat. It also works well as a rub on ribs and pairs well with Apple Sauce to create a spicy Pork Chop with Apple, then drizzle on some caramel. Two incredible ways we use it is to dust it on wings and cook them in the air fryer and to sprinkle on potato wedges.
Day 10 – Pork Chop Seasoning
Not many dishes are as American as a Pork Chop Dinner, be it bone in chops or boneless, it is an easy dinner. Put the Shake N Bake away and season your Pork Chops with our Pork Chop Seasoning and either pan fry or slip them in the oven. The seasoning is fantastic on all pork dishes such as, cube some pork shoulder and sprinkle our Pork Chop Seasoning on it and cook in a crockpot with a little olive oil and the vegetables of your choice. I have used it as a rub for ribs with fantastic results. One of my favorites is to take fall vegetables, my favorite is a mixture of carrots, squash, broccoli, potatoes or sweet potatoes all cubed, and put in a plastic bag with a couple tablespoons of olive oil and a Tablespoon or two of our Pork Chop Seasoning, mix it well and sauté.
Day 11 – Garam Masala
Garam Masala is the backbone of almost all Indian Cuisine. It can be used to make Curries and Buttered Chicken or add it to vegetables and make your own unique Vegetable Curry. It can be added to Ghee or Oil and used to flavor meats and vegetables marinating them so the flavors will bloom. It is wonderful to sprinkle on butternut squash and roast it. If you want to live on the wild side sprinkle some on Mac and Cheese before baking or add it to your favorite baked apple recipe instead of cinnamon and nutmeg.
Day 12 – Lemon Pepper Seasoning
We have always loved the flavor of Lemon Pepper; however, almost every one was way too much Pepper and not enough Lemon. In our blend, we have corrected that as it is much more balanced leaning on the dried lemon. The flavor is perfect for mild white fish, just pat the filets dry, rub with butter or olive oil, sprinkle with our Lemon Pepper Seasoning and bake. You can add lemon slices to add even more of a lemon pop. But my favorite is to mix it with melted butter, add a pinch of hot sauce, cook wings in the Air Fryer and toss, then put them back in the Air Fryer for a couple more minutes to crisp them up.
Day 13 -Honey Chipotle Seasoning
We enjoy smoking and grilling and would be at a loss without our Honey Chipotle Seasoning, it is the perfect sweet heat. Rub it on chicken, ribs, pork loin, and anything you want to smoke. Or add it to vegetables to oven roast. When you rub it on ribs and cook low and slow, the honey will caramelize and create a wonderful glaze. The honey in this seasoning helps create a crust on your meat sealing it and making it juicier. Take a salmon fillet and rub it with honey and then sprinkle on the Honey Chipotle Seasoning and bake or grill on a cedar plank. Oh and don’t forget it is incredible on wings either as a dry rub and mix with butter for a glaze, just remember to cook, glaze and cook some more in your Air Fryer.
Day 14 -Garlic read Seasoning
This seasoning is so good it may be outlawed some day. If you have ever ventured to the Ohio Valley Farmers’ Market in the spring, you will see people walking around snacking on Garlic Bread Croutons. I have been told by more than one person they do not make it home. It makes incredible salt free garlic bread. Just use 1 Tablespoon of seasoning per stick of melted butter, let it set and bloom, then spread it all over the bread you are making into garlic bread. Bake it at 350 until it is to the crunch level you want, pull it out and smother with good mozzarella cheese and slide it back in and melt it.
The Secret recipe for Garlic Bread Croutons: cube a loaf of Italian Bread, spread it on a baking sheet in an oven at 425, keep moving it around until it is slightly crunchy, mix 2 sticks of melted butter and 2 Tablespoons of Garlic Bread seasoning, let it set for 5 minutes to bloom, then in a bowl mix the crispy bread and seasoning/butter mix in and stir until all pieces are coated, put it back on the baking sheet and in the oven to dry it, again mixing it around so it doesn’t burn. pull it out when it is almost dry and let it air dry for 15 minutes and enjoy. Or watch our Facebook to see when we will have bags at the Market.
Day 15 -Green Thai Curry
We added this to our Curry Line to bring everyone another incredible choice. It is sweet and bright with a wonderful kick. For those who like sweet heat this is the perfect curry. It is perfect to: dust delicate proteins like chicken, shrimp, fish, or tofu; or to add to coconut milk to make a wonderful sauce like Curry Chicken; and also to add to oil to make a paste to create a Thai Pesto for noodles or by thinning with vinegar for a dressing.
Day 16 -Garden Dust
One of our very first seasoning blends and still one of our best sellers. It started as a mixture to jazz up vegetables. Simply rough chop anything from Asparagus to Zucchini and put them in a zip lock bag with Olive Oil, Garden Dust, and massage it in, then pan fry, stir fry, grill or roast. It is also great on chicken, just dust it on.
Day 17 -Grandpa’s Chili Seasoning
Chili is as unique as the person making it. It can range from everything sweet like Cincinnati Style to Five Alarm Hot, from deep red to bright green, from filled with beef to chicken to vegetarian, and then there is the controversial addition of beans. Ours is called Grandpa’s as Bob’s dad would raid the spice cabinet every time he made his incredible chili. Our Chili mix has all the incredible flavor but no heat as you can always add it but cannot take it away. For a quick chili, brown a pound of ground beef in 1/2 a tablespoon of the Chili Mix, add in a small can of tomato paste, and another 1/2 tablespoon of Chili Mix, 2 cans of Dark Red Kidney Beans. and water. Simmer until it all comes together. Add additional seasoning to your taste. But if you want to start playing with variations, you can use more meat, less beans, diced tomatoes, jalapeno’s, or build a chili using Tomatillo’s and create a green chili.
Day 18 -Berbere Seasoning
If you enjoy those warm African dishes this one from Ethiopia is for you. It starts with Cayenne and builds from there with smoky paprika, pepper flakes, ad then adds warming spices like ginger, turmeric, cardamom, cumin, coriander, cinnamon, allspice and others. This combination not only provides heat but intense flavor. It is strong enough to standup to beef but yet flavorful with chicken and vegetables. You can dust it on a steak, ribs, over meatballs, chicken or create authentic kebabs. To make authentic Ethiopian Awaze Sauce (Paste) mix 1 Cup of Berbere Seasoning, the juice of 1 lemon, 2 Tablespoons of Honey, 2 Tablespoons of gin, and 2 Tablespoons of water and whisk
Day 19 -Sunshine Seasoning
We wanted to develop a seasoning blend that was bright and citrus based with an herbal edge. When this one was put together, the name was a must as it was like a bright summer day. It works very well on light fish such as cod or trout but yet stands up to salmon. It also works very well with chicken and pork and also on vegetables. A favorite is to use it to season fish and then butter poach it. Simply sprinkle it on the fish, melt enough butter to cover the fish in a pan on low heat (150-180 degrees), season the butter with more citrus seasoning, and slowly poach until the fish is opaque and flakey (usually about 10 min per inch of thickness).
Day 20 – Cajun Seasoning
One of the best foodie destinations in the world is Acadiana in southern Louisiana, just don’t ask WHAT you are eating, just enjoy. While some Cajun blends will light you up like a lighthouse at the edge of the delta, we have toned ours down just a bit giving you that incredible Cajun flavor with just enough heat to let you know it is from the delta, but not so much a Buckeye can’t handle it. It’s a must add to Gumbo, Jambalaya, Dirty Rice, or to add to your chili for a unique kick. We are Wing nuts and to create incredible Cajun Wings is to season your Wings with a liberal dusting of Cajun Seasoning and fry them in your air fryer and then toss them in Tabasco Sauce and butter.
Day 21 – Pumpkin Pie Spice
Pumpkin Pie is a beloved fall favorite and a very easy pie to make, yes it is okay to cheat with a store bought crust. Our goal was to create a spice mixture to make it easier, so instead of adding the spices one at a time you can add just 1 1/2 – 2 Teaspoons of our Pumpkin Pie Spice, more if you wish. Butttt —– it is June, and you have that urge for a Pumpkin Pie Latte and when you ask your favorite Barista, you get the “Are you crazy” look, we have the answer. Simply brew your favorite coffee and add a teaspoon of our Pumpkin Pie Spice (A little sugar if you want it) and stir it in, add your favorite milk, top with whipped cream, and lightly sprinkle more pumpkin pie spice on top. If you want an Iced Latte, brew the coffee very strong, add ice then pour the coffee, Pumpkin Pie Spice, milk mixture over it top with whipped cream and sprinkle.
Day 22 – Fiesta Seasoning
One of the best Mexican dishes is Elote (Mexican Street Corn) and it is easy to do on your grill. Simply soak your corn in its husk, pull it back and season with our Fiesta Seasoning, and return the husk to cover and grill. When the husk is charred, remove it, dust a little more seasoning on it and cover it with mayo, sprinkle a little lime juice, and sprinkle on Cotija Cheese. It is also great to use on corn and grill for Roasted Corn Pasta Salad, Corn Fritters, or on vegetables like Zucchini, Squash, potatoes, and even plantains. I love to rub it on pork chops and to season hash browns for a Tex-Mex punch.
Day 23 – Blackening Seasoning
One thinks of Blackening as an old Cajun style of cooking; however, it is a modern technique. It is a combination of seasonings and technique invented by Chef Paul Prudhomme in New Orleans in 1980. The technique is to use a screaming hot cast iron skillet for cooking in and to dredge the protein in a drawn butter and seasoning blend. This method can be used on fish, seafood, chicken, lamb, and beef. The absolutely best steak I ever had was a thick (1 1/2″) New York Strip, butterflied, stuffed with Provolone cheese, and folded back, and Blackened to a medium. Our Blackening Seasoning is also great dusted on shrimp, on your fried green tomatoes, or to toss over eggplant or portabella mushrooms.
Day 24 – Maple Bourbon Seasoning – Christmas Eve
How many people out there have the tradition of baking a ham on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day? Every family has their own unique traditions and if you don’t, it is time to start yours. Bob grew up with Holy Supper on Christmas Eve and ham sandwiches for lunch on Christmas Day, so food was a central part of traditions. We have included our Maple Bourbon Seasoning for Christmas Eve to celebrate or start a tradition. Mix the seasoning with brown sugar and melted butter, and cover your ham before baking. It also makes a great rub for ribs, chicken, or roasted vegetables.
